Our Story
About Us
"New Faces of Data" (NFD) defines itself as a blog and research community that aims to examine how the evolution of rapidly developing sectors in the field of digitalization—such as data economy law, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and crypto assets—leads to a transformation in the legal field. Specifically, at the intersection of technology and law, it publishes short and informative blog posts that focus on or provide insights into new court and board decisions (such as the CJEU, the US Supreme Court, the German Competition Authority 'Bundeskartellamt', or the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board, etc.), new legislative initiatives, policy preferences, and potential implementation challenges.
Purpose
Publication
The goal of this initiative is not only to stay informed about and share developments that may be of interest, but also to create a community where everyone interested in the intersection of technology, digitalization, and law—from different cities, countries, or nationalities—can come together. This process focuses particularly on young academics, students, and legal professionals.
Submitting articles to the blog on these topics is free. Those interested can send their articles to the e-mail address specified below. It is mandatory to cite the sources used during writing. Submitted articles will be published on the blog within two weeks. Depending on the level of interest, a group may be formed, and monthly meetings, networking events, and workshops may be organized.
